It was Glynda who inspired me to make my passion of breeding American Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys into a business. She made it possible for me to live my dream when I bought my very first donkeys from her back in 1998. At that stage I did not own my own farm and so Glynda allowed me to agist my animals at her place. She gave me the advice and encouragement I needed to feel confident investing in the best breeding stock available and buying my first farm in Sutton in 2000.
Glynda is a wealth of knowledge about how to manage, care for and breed animals and how to make money from doing the thing you love. I will always be grateful that I met Glynda when I did and for her guidance and support ever since. I am very proud to say JOY Miniature Donkey Stud is now the largest Miniature Donkey Stud in Australasia and this is due in no small way to Glynda’s expertise and friendship.

I first visited Alpaca Magic at an Open Day, keen to cuddle some alpacas, and I hoped to learn more about caring for them as I was preparing to start my own pet sitting and small farm sitting business. I mentioned this to Glynda, and she was a wealth of knowledge and guidance, and after completing an Alpaca and Llama workshop with her, Glynda invited me to become a Friends of Alpaca Magic Volunteer.
I have had a thoroughly enjoyable experience volunteering, and learnt countless valuable skills such as livestock handling and care, toenail trimming, drafting, vaccinating, matings and halter and float training and have had a chance to help with shearing, micro chipping, castrations and even a cria birth. The hands on practical education as well as the knowledge I have learnt from Glynda has been both fun and rewarding.

My relationship began with Alpaca Magic when I approached Glynda about undertaking my placement at her property back when I was studying for my agricultural degree. Little did I know that experience would lead to me to become a small scale llama farmer myself. I have purchased a number of animals from Alpaca Magic, both alpacas and llamas and have found the buying experience exceptional each time. Glynda had not only helped me in establishing my herd but critically mentored me through it all. The after sales service to me was as important as the animals themselves and for this reason I continue to deal with and recommend Alpaca Magic to people. When dealing with Glynda, I came to quickly find out that she genuinely cares for and loves her animals and that that feeling is certainly infectious!
Alpaca Magic offers a lot more than just animals for purchase and agistment, I have attended numerous workshops, open days and of course the fantastic llama strolls throughout the year.

I initially approached Glynda when I was looking for friendly, big, sound llamas for public relations work. I found Glynda extremely approachable and a fount of knowledge, ideas and humour! Over the phone, I gave her my requirements, and she made a few suggestions and then presented me, at my first visit, with exactly the type of llamas I was hoping for!
Glynda, as I have said, is an inexhaustible source of information on llamas, and has provided me with the knowledge and confidence (and this is ongoing!) to field just about any question thrown at me, about llamas, by the fascinated visitors to my exhibits at Tocal Field Days and Peek Into The Past at Tocal Homestead.
My association with Glynda has brought me countless hours of pleasure and fun with my 7 llamas (6 bought from Glynda), and her continued support has given me a jumping off point for a future business featuring the llamas.
THANKS GLYNDA!!!

About a year and a half ago I became interested in llamas and found the Alpaca Magic website. I wanted to learn more, and the website had details of open days and farm visits, so I organised a visit and soon fell in love with llamas. It was not long before I had purchased my first two.
Of course I had a lot to learn, and Glynda was always helpful, teaching me all I needed to know about the care and training of llamas before I brought them home. I know I can phone any time I’m in need of advice, or if any problems arise. I now have five llamas, and have found that they have lead to many new interests for me, including spinning, needle felting and wet felting. These interests have introduced me to many new friends.
